Home Inquiry Connection Labs

On this page I have made links to the labs I began writing in the summer of 2015. They are meant to be inquiry-based lab activities which make connections to ordinary materials students have in their homes. I mean to have students learn to be keen observers, critical thinkers, and to give them an opportunity to learn to appreciate how science can inform their understanding of how the world works. I have listed them in the order I wrote them but they can be used in any order.

Home-Inquiry Connection Lab: Can Crush
Home-Inquiry Connection Lab: Density and Solubility
Home-Inquiry Connection Lab: Crystals (an Art Connection Lab)
Home-Inquiry Connection Lab: Intermolecular Forces
Real Life Chemistry of Marshmallows
